The materials will make a huge difference in the lives of our Pre-K - 12th grade students at our rural school. The different lesson plans will provide the tools I need to assist our youth in addressing a lot of different social-emotional challenges they are facing in their lives. Anything from grief, to impulsivity, to bullying and learning better social skills to build self-esteem and develop friendships, among many others. These are all areas I will work on with students individually, in small groups, and whole classes to ensure their needs are being met at the ground level and they are able to focus on achieving their academic goals. I will also provide the parents with tools and skills they can use at home to ensure the students are receiving wraparound support in their areas of need. The fidget toys help students when they come in to discuss difficult topics.
