My second graders love to move around and participate in a variety of learning activities. Sometimes they collaborate with their peers and sometimes they work independently. The items in my Donors Choose wish list will help me provide greater flexibility in learning locations and activities for my students. The drawers are for housing station materials while I work with a small group of 4-5 students; I meet with small groups daily for reading and math while the rest of the class works on their own. The storage bins will allow students to neatly store their own materials and supplies. The carpet will be a great place for our morning meeting, read aloud, and many other wonderful class discussions. We also utilize some great online resources during independent station work, but several students do not have their own headphones. The reading books will allow struggling readers to practice independently in class and at home. Thank you for thinking of us.
