I am requesting materials which will enable students to work with their hands to create their artwork. They will design and paint a finished piece of art to save as a momento of their school year. Using the air-dry clay they can feel as the clay hardens the difference between when they originally sculpted their piece and as it is drying, how it hardens. This also works into our school theme which is STEAM and incorporates the science of using these materials. My students will use acrylic paint to finish their artwork so that they experience the process of designing, sculpting and finishing a project.
