The Chromebooks we have in our classroom are used for daily practice and standardized test taking. These same Chromebooks were lent out to families while learning remotely. We have found that many no longer accept headphones, screens are cracked, and speakers not working. New Chromebooks that perform as they should will allow my students to logon with confidence, alleviating some of the test-taking stress they already struggle to conquer. My students will be learning how to code, fly a drone, and use many tech based applications with the ISD STEM team. However, they struggle to hear the directions during assessments and see the screen clearly. We have the opportunity learn more about technology with the ISD program, but we are unable to produce our best work or assessments with the technology tools we have.
