Having a tablet in Speech & Language Club is a great way to incorporate many different kinds of communication activities that target many skills. While it is important to facilitate speech and language development through a variety of therapy activities, technology is one item in a therapist's toolbox that can promote language growth and engage students on a large scale. Students will be able to record songs using their best speech sounds, interact with engaging stories while focusing on expressive language skills, play games that require following directions, make their own art when practicing fluency techniques, and the list goes on! I am excited to see the creativity of my students when given a tool to let their imagination and voices shine through!
