We will continue to tie our standards to our planner which is all about a Growth Mindset. We will have fair discussions and projects helping us to understand the Growth mindset. All standards in health have changed in 2020. Student emotional growth and mindfulness have been added to to the Personal, community, environmental standards (PCE1.3.1) Mental And Emotional Health(ME1.3.1/.2) Growth mindset is important for our class to teach every day. My colleagues and I have noticed that our students are in need of social skills that were dismissed due to Covid. Elementary grades are the primary grades where logic and reasoning are taught. Now, more than ever, social-emotional cues are needed to be taught as well. We need to continue our understanding, empathy, and overall well-being, mindfulness being one of the major concepts. Our classroom is a portable outdoor classroom. We open our class doors each and every day in sunny Las Vegas. We appreciate completing our projects and working outside on beautiful days. We are in need of outdoor portable seating mats.
