The Purple 7 Resource room is about supporting our classroom family and developing relationships. I want to give my students an opportunity to understand themselves, to grow in confidence, and to show kindness and compassion towards others, regardless of one's own personal situation. Classroom snacks, art supplies, decorating our classroom and creating a magical atmosphere helps the students feel comfortable in a fun and relaxed setting. One of the greatest things that I get to see in the classroom, is the friendships that develop between students and the ways the students help and support one another because they are comfortable and happy. Meeting a a student's basic needs gives my students a chance to focus on the learning objectives while having fun. The 7th grade middle school resource setting affords my staff and I the opportunity to provide love, guidance, and encouragement to students in a fun and a safe learning environment. Helping our students develop a positive understanding of themselves based on their personal strengths is the goal of our staff.
