I just started at this charter school designed to reach students that have diverse needs in a smaller setting. Our school offers more opportunities for a student who would otherwise get lost in the enormous public school settings of this larger city. The school caters to children with diverse backgrounds and minority needs. I have created an art program to introduce artists through the connection of minority, understanding other curriculums, and using expression and their needs to create to maximize their base understanding of the world that they live in and will need to compete in. In order to achieve success, they must learn about the artists of today, their importance, and create with critical thinking. this program will afford them an opportunity to see others like them, the success that is achievable, and understand how every person has an important voice in our world. Creation is the highest form of learning. We need the supplies and technology to learn and grow.
