Using robotics students learn practical and fun applications in math and critical thinking. Our students are starting a robotics club to enhance their understanding of technology and the potential it offers for a successful future beyond the classroom. Using the LEGO Mindstorms as an approach, we explore the problem-solving process while developing teamwork and critical thinking skills through the robotics challenges. The robotics program allows students to use their existing skills in practical solutions for a project goal. We hope to participate in competitions as well, like Robofest, where inspiration can come from peers and competitors. Learning to compete in positive and healthy ways all the while being collaborative and driving to succeed.
