After a year and a half of remote learning, my student have so many different needs! Headphones will foster individualized learning, bouncy bands will keep the most active students focused, and white board markers will keep all students engaged! I want to give my students everything they need to be successful! All students have Chromebooks, but few of them can afford headphones. During independent work time, headphones will make it possible to individualize learning. ESL students will hear math problems read to them in Spanish. Students who need remediation will watch videos that our teachers have developed to relearn the material. Students who have mastered the current math objectives and need to be challenged will use the headphones to engage in online activities to enhance their learning. Students with special needs will use the headphones to stay engaged and to get the individual lessons that will be best for them. Students who require tests to be read aloud will be able to plug in and work at their own pace. Sitting still all day in the classroom is an almost impossible challenge for some students! Bouncy bands will make this challenge easier and more obtainable by allowing students to move their bodies without getting out of their seats. My students love, love, love solving problems on white boards! It keeps them engaged, and it fosters group work, with students helping students. It makes learning fun!
