This project can address both academic and social emotional needs while our students are at school. My team and I work with addressing students who are either sent out of class or walk out of class as a result of overwhelming emotions. After enduring the risks of COVID-19, our students deserve a safe space to process their emotions and engage in self-reflection. Materials such as noise-cancelling headphones, tablets, and even a kid's tent will provide safe spaces for students who need additional resources to address their social emotional needs. To address academic needs, I have included things like multiplication tables and learning manipulatives to help increase academic achievement. This project will make a world of difference for a student population that is facing a global pandemic on a daily basis.
