I am a bilingual teacher in a low-income area in Austin, Texas whose students are a mix of English learners and Spanish learners. My students are eager to learn how to read, but I only have old books that do not catch their attention. They need books that are suitable for their age and a comfortable place to read them. These books will be available for them to read in class and also to take home to read with their families to help them create a link between our school and their homes.
