I have found that keeping my kinders engaged takes a lot of moving and hands on work. They learn best when they can create and transform their learning while they can learn in spaces that work for them. This includes having multiple options for flexible seating in the classroom. We have a school of mostly alternative learners and a special model where we have 2 teachers per classroom to promote individualized learning in our building. Having more flexible seating options in our classroom will give our new learners more ways to promote growth and independence in the classroom. These cubes are wonderful because they can be seats or they can be desks if students want to work in a new space.
