I am the reading and dyslexia interventionist at MHS. Many of my students struggle with and do not enjoy reading because I believe they don't know what they would enjoy reading. Some think they cannot read at the high school level, but it is my job to help them get there. Having my own classroom library will give the students an opportunity to discover worlds outside of their own that will help them with vocabulary, creativity, and the belief that they can read. Books have the power to inspire and transport people to where they need to be, and I so want that for my students. They need the power of knowledge to succeed in whatever path they decide to take.
