I'm am working on closing the gap from the impact of COVID-19. My students struggle with fluency and comprehension. With these activities, my students will have access to a variety of fluency and comprehension resources to choose from. My students will explore the activities during independent reading time to practice fluency while I work in small groups to ensure that they are getting reading comprehension strategies. Gaining understanding of text is the main reason that we read. The fluency activities will help my struggling readers, while the comprehension activities will strengthen their understanding.
