At least once a day, my students are instructed to go retrieve and complete their independent work job tray. These trays include a variety of items that address different skills. Students will work on counting, filling orders forms, identifying and using money, recognizing fractions, and life skills such as measuring items from a recipe. I am in need of more materials to increase the different levels of tasks offered. Students feel proud of the work that they do with the independent work stations, and data is collected to see progress as the student advances through middle school. These materials will also help to address each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). My dream is to instill pride, confidence, and employability skills in my students. They are so amazing!
