We use the carpet in our library/meeting area multiple times a day. We meet as a whole group, participate in discussions, and partner work in this area. It is a place for us to read books, write, and participate in morning meetings and closing circle. The carpet we are currently using is a remnant that is worn and fraying. Listening centers transport students into books. The listening center will be part of our center rotations. Students will be able to listen to books and discuss them with their small groups.
