"The purpose of arts education is not to produce more artists though that is a byproduct. The real purpose of arts education is to create complete human beings who are capable of leading successful and productive lives in a free society" Dana Giona. Having supplies like paint will help us complete school wide projects that brighten up their lives and our hallways. The gallons of paint will help us do more painting based projects that have been limited in the program so far. The nice art markers will be a great upgrade for my middle school students who want to learn to shade and blend with color (especially for all our aspiring manga and comic art students) The art exercise book will make great opening activities to get our students pumped about our big lessons and projects. There are so many opportunities these supplies will open up for them and I am so excited to see where their ideas will take them.
