LEGOS, KEVA planks and other Makerspace materials will be used by students during STEM challenges when students will need to use their creativity and engineering design skills to solve problems. These familiar building materials will pique students' interest and engage them as they develop critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. In addition, these materials offer hands-on manipulation and help with fine motor skills serving many of our students with special needs. When kids use Legos, they are introduced to concepts such as cause and effect, sequencing and problem solving. They must also use organization and planning skills.

About my class
