Creative Learning Building sets can be used in my classroom across all subjects. In reading we can use LEGO to make stories come to life. LEGO provides hands on interactions to visualize the story so students feel that they are apart of the stories. Students can also demonstrate understanding of beginning, middle and end of stories. LEGO provides a different way for English Language Learners to express what they think within the story, when they don't have the vocabulary to express themselves. LEGOs can also help students in math. The class could use the LEGO to compose and decompose numbers, use as manipulatives and better visualize mathematic concepts. Students can also use LEGO to problem solve and engage in STEM projects. They will develop life skills such as planning, questioning, innovation, creativity and critical analysis.
