Our students are troubled students who are trying to make changes but they need good role models. I have been a good role model for my students, but sometimes it takes the words of gang members to help them make better choices. Our students look up to gang members and call them the "big home". This book is told from an ex gang member who lived the life and wants to teach children to not make that same decision. Our school teaches students that have been expelled from school for crimes of violence, threats, and truancy.
