The use of a Cricut machine and materials will allow special need students and others who like to be creative, express their knowledge in the content area. They can use the project in a math lesson by creating designs they graph on paper to bring to shape a real item. This will help the students to be engaged in the lesson and own their learning. Using executive function skills students can organize their ideas to create a masterpiece of their learning to display to their peers and teachers. The students using the materials will gain ownership of their learning along with peers when they present their project to the class. In addition when the students are creating a design to create they will use collaboration skills with their peers and teamwork.
