My goal is to help students become successful and enthusiastic readers. I teach a variety of grade levels. Many students have basic decoding skills, but need more practice to become confident, fluent readers. Purchasing these sets of books will allow intervention student groups to read, discuss, respond to, and enjoy these books collaboratively. Using engaging sets of books will allow each student to have their own book in front of them. They will be able to see, touch, and sound out words in concert with other students in their groups. Meaningful instruction relies on student engagement. Reading in a group will capture their attention and help maximize their intervention time together.
