Weighted blankets and alternate seating options can help them to be in new settings, help them to focus in their own classroom, and help them feel calm in situations that they feel anxious or overwhelmed in (such as school assemblies). In addition to sensory needs, the students need intensive instruction to learn. The dry erase covers are a tool that can be used to engage students in their learning, present visual schedules that are unique for each student, and reduce the amount of paper used in the classroom.
