This is my 3rd year working as a social worker at a middle school. Due to limited funding, I do not have a budget to help me buy items that can be used to support my teaching of social and emotional skills. My wish list will offer the students a fun and helpful way of engaging with SEL activities and ultimately improve the overall school climate. I will be meeting with students on an individual basis, in small groups, and I will be offering classroom presentations. All of these supplies can be used to facilitate learning and keep students engaged. My goal this year is to facilitate MONTHLY mental health awareness campaigns that teach about various topics such as Suicide Awareness, Bullying Prevention, World Kindness Day, Black History Month, Sexual Assault Prevention, Mental Health Awareness Month, and Pride Month.
