This rug will create an aesthetically pleasing environment for my students to learn on. It will be a place that they want to be. This rug will also allow my students to have, and to give personal space to themselves and their peers. The rug will be a space we gather and build community. When we are not gathering on the rug as a class, the rug will serve as an alternative seating area for when students need a break from their desks. My students appreciate the opportunity to make choices throughout the day and I'm hoping they will enjoy the choice of working on a rug with lap desks or pillows when the activity allows!
