I run Intensive Math where students who have vast gaps in learning (due to being out of school from the hurricane and COVID) and other factors. I run weekly celebrations of student success for students who have made gains in learning the previous week. When students have made gains on district progress monitoring I reward them with baked goods or a "food" party (pizza, doughnuts, or I cook lunch). For the top-scoring student I provide a gift basket. For the student with the most gains (points) on the progress monitoring test, I provide a gift card or a gift basket. Throughout my instruction students earn incentives for their gains and we celebrate small and large successes!
