This project will make a difference in my students' learning because it will allow them to experience situations and perspectives that they may not otherwise be exposed to or have access to. My students are in need of literature that they can see themselves in, because they haven't been able to experience a true connection to their reading before. The goal is to foster a love of reading through personal connection, feeling represented in literature, and growing personally through new perspectives. Giving students an opportunity to see a variety of characters and how they overcome obstacles will help students to grow personally and begin to believe in themselves and that they can overcome their own obstacles.

About my class
