These materials will be used to ensure students are reaching their goals in reading. Our students have faced many learning obstacles in the past year which have put them below average for their grade level. The sight word and comprehension manipulatives will be used to ensure that students are provided different avenues to success. Since students were unable to attend school in person, they have struggled and fallen behind in their reading skills. I have also incorporated books that will spark the students interest in having that desire to read. "The Old Lady that Swallowed Snow" will be sent home as a Christmas present to encourage reading at home.
