Each year I push myself to teach my students how to love learning in a safe, effective, and collaborative learning environment. Each year I notice that kids are constantly looking for opportunities to work together and yearn for environments that not only encourage them to learn, but encourage them to collaborate and talk as they would in a home/safe setting. My goal is to foster a classroom space physically that also will encourage kids to feel safe to learn. This new flexible seating classroom for pre-teens will allow them to feel comfortable not only to take risks in the classroom, but hopefully to work together in positive ways so we learn to work together and learn leadership skills that will last a lifetime!
