This project will help students have hands on learning about anatomy through the study of frogs. We use pictures and diagrams to help us understand anatomy, but with the funding of this project, students will get to experience anatomy first hand through the dissection of frogs. It is well known that having hands on experience fuels the retention of knowledge on the subject being taught. My students have plenty of options for digital learning, but this project will give them the hands on learning that will create core memories for years to come. They will learn about organ systems and their functions, frog adaptations for their environment, and the comparison of frog anatomy to humans. Our resources at our school are limited and without donations, my students would not be able to experience a core concept in middle school science first hand.
