One of our standards for 6th Grade Science involves understanding the organization and function of body systems. While students are familiar with human organs, they need a point of reference. By comparing human anatomy to another organism, they can better understand the function and structure of these systems. This project is an Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) which promotes student directed investigations. The comparative anatomy part of this project will challenge students to research and compare frog to human anatomy. The product of this task will be a presentation that they will share with their peers. A bonus is that this will create lasting experiences and the learning will be better retained.
