Our goal is to provide our students with exposure to multicultural literature from a variety of cultural perspectives while reading relevant and current true stories. The two titles: Every Falling Star: The True Story of How I Survived and Escaped North Korea, and Warriors Don't Cry: A searing Memoir of the Battle to Integrate Little Rock's Central High are perfect anchor texts to draw their interest and cultivate discussion.
