Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and to make choices that best support their individual needs. The chairs that we currently have in the Library are falling apart. They are heavy, uncomfortable and squeaky. By providing students with new, comfortable chairs, they will be able to engage in the lesson/activity with less distraction. We also do a lot of group activities in the library. Light, easy to move chairs will allow students to have more flexible seating and make it easier for students to collaborate with peers. Flexible seating will also support student choice and literacy by allowing learners to read independently around the Library.
