By filling my classroom library with rich, grade-appropriate literature that my students can read is the key to creating lifelong learners. Most of the students at our school are only exposed to literature and encouraged to read at school. Helping them fall in love with reading will help prepare them to be successful in the future. The Phantom Tollbooth helps them to understand ways words show importance, and is usually something the students tend to find relatable. Students can enjoy following Milo and Tock and learning about different Literary devices used throughout the story.
