Physical education provides opportunities to provide a physical activity which is important for healthy bodies. Physical Education can also foster confidence and provide an outlet for emotional development. It also provides opportunities for social engagement, teaches students how to interact and learn how to work better with peers. My students are learning key principles in a multitude of different types of sports. They are also learning the importance of living healthy and active lifestyles. Many students were fully remote for the past year and a half. This affected the amount of physical activity they engaged in. Many times, physical education is the only opportunity these students have engaged in physical activity.
