Something that I have noticed is that due to COVID our students have lost a lot of social skills. My goal is to teach them these skills through SEL lessons, and incorporating that into my everyday ELA and writing lessons. I am also planning on boosting student motivation with having them set goals for themselves. When they achieve their goal they will earn a prize. Having students learn how to set goals with an incentive will teach them how to achieve their dreams. By having flexible seating and incentives, I will create a classroom environment that will not only benefit the students learning, but also teach them life skills.
