Adults, like myself, have difficulty sitting and focusing for a long period of time. This is much more true for elementary students! By providing flexible seating options, students have more of an opportunity to take ownership of their learning. They have the opportunities to make better choices for themselves and their learning. With the options chosen, students have the opportunity to refocus their minds by allowing them to get the movement they need in order to be able to focus allowing them more engagement. Currently, my students have the options to stand and move around, but this may take them away from their work whereas seating already allowing them that movement will help keep them with their learning allowing them to multitask. Flexible seating enhances student learning, and our class asks that you please help provide us with this opportunity.
