These tools will help students self-regulate their bodies, minds, and emotions, so that classroom learning can take place. Students will benefit from alternate seating choices, filters for harsh classroom lights, space to self-regulate in and out of the general education classroom, and sensory tools that can be used in and out of the classroom. As a teacher who has taught before, during, and after the pandemic, I can see the great need to educate students on their emotions. Giving them the tools to help them control their own emotions will help them now and in the future.

About my class
