Students are given independent reading time daily. They will be able to choose a book from the classroom library and read. I will read books to the children as well. At this time I only have books we check out from the library and am in need of a more rigorous selection. We should see the students’ Lexie scores improve along with learning more about their world. This classroom library project will benefit my students reading ability. With over 50 percent ELL students, this will help them practice reading and learning vocabulary.

About my class
