Students will be using the following materials to engage in activities backed by brain-based research. In our class, we use magnetic letters to help us learn sight words following a routine created by Dr. Jan Richardson. This routine helps children systematically learn how to read and write words that they will encounter frequently as readers. In addition to sight words, we also use the magnetic letters to study word parts, patterns, syllables, digraphs, diphthongs, and much more! I have seen students grow so much by using these routines in the past few months, but having the appropriate amount of materials would allow us to move through our activities efficiently and with fidelity.
