These resources aid in different aspects of working on speech and language goals. The oversized books allow my visual and motor impairments students to access stories. Games and activities like playdough have students doing another task while practicing speech sounds, and this helps with the generalization of the skills they are practicing. These materials allow for activities that were not possible while doing virtual speech sessions. For example, playing games on the computer did not have the same effect as a tactile game. The students had no control and lost interest quickly. Many students did not have the buttons with programmed responses at home.
