This sensory light table will be added to our existing sensory room that is available to all jacks valley elementary students to use (guided with an adult) to promote emotional regulation and calming strategies through multisensory integration. Multisensory means see it, hear it, touch, it, smell it (yes taste it but no eating is allowed in our sensory room). Students have their choice of a multitude of centers, activities and manipulatives to support their on task behavior and emotional regulation so they can be successful in the general education classroom. Usually a 10 minute break to the sensory room is all it takes to get a student back on track, calm and focused on their learning.
