All my students deserve to learn even if their cognitive disabilities do not allow them to be good readers. The reason why I need this laptop is so the Google Slides that I created can be projected onto a screen for my kids who struggle with reading. A laptop can assist my visual and auditory learners with the implementation of video and pictures. This way of teaching works for my kids. Some people believe that kids who struggle with reading cannot learn things like the Constitution, the Early American Tribes, the Dynasties in Asia, but they can with differentiated learning that includes video, pictures, and auditory examples. This year my district took away our Smart Boards and were to replace them with new technology. Due to the delays in shipping, we have no capabilities to do that anymore. I purchased a projector but the Chromebook given to us does not have the capability to do what I need it to do. Therefore, to give my kids a chance to learn I need a laptop to continue to teach my kids with cognitive disabilities.
