I have been dreaming of an outdoor area to start a forest school for my students! We finally have to space and now it's time to start building. This space will be used for learning through nature and the exploration of sounds, textures, and materials around them. The students will be constructing most of the area themselves, but we do need a few items to get us started. This Nature Water Flow System will provide a wide range of learning opportunities for my students including teamwork, problem solving, physics and engineering, and biology. My students will have to work together to move the pieces and figure out how to set them up in a way that the water can flow through all three shoots. They will be able to use the small creek along with buckets and pots to move water to they system they create. My students will have endless nature materials to mix with the water including sand, mulch, leaves, and grass. With an open-ended work station, such as the Water Flow System, my students will have a space where their imaginations can run wild. They can create waterfalls and dams or soups and potions. With the support of your donation the possibilities are truly endless!
