Most of my students come from low income homes and cannot afford good scientific calculators to use in class. I need to teach them how to use these tools now to decrease frustration and teach them that with the right tools and a lot of practice, they can be successful! These are the same calculators they use on the GED test, but I hope they never need to use them for this purpose because they are going into high school prepared and they have learned to identify the tools they need in each situation.
