This past year has been really rough for both teachers and students. We are trying so hard to help our students catch up. Unfortunately, even some of the gifted students are performing well below age level. We have been using a Moby Max program specifically designed to bridge the gap in skills. Moby Max recommends that the Amazon Fire is the best device to utilize for the program. Though our school purchased the program itself, they have not been able to purchase the devices we need to actually use the program and not all students can utilize it at the same time. I really like the Moby Max program because it tailors lessons to the skill of each student and allows them to focus on their weaknesses and still build on their strengths. If half of my class needs some extra help with a lesson, I can have the other half of the class work on enrichment activities. I can have students completing assignments outside of the classroom that allow me to progress monitor their skills and improvement. These tablets will allow 75% of my class to utilize the Moby Max program during class time. Over the past two years, I have felt pretty defeated because my students missed so much time in the classroom during the pandemic. I know they may never return to that level, but these tablets will allow us better access to this awesome program that could help all of my students !
