My project will enable us to help each child with their individual small motor skills, as well as sensory and literacy skills. The skill developments will be encouraged at home and at school. Young minds need a sense of spatial awareness. Manipulatives such as ocean play mat, and see inside will also encourage creativity. This project will promote activities such as squeezing, grasping, and pinching skills that can be used in everyday life. These skills will help kids with the development of hands to help further writing, lacing, and drawing skills. Play is important and the ocean play mat is great for the young mind and at an early age, it is important for children to engage and interact in the world around them.
