For the first time since the pandemic began children are in classrooms full time. Most if not all of my students have never known what a "regular" school year looks like. My students have been in home environments where English is not the first language spoken. I am using student data to individualize literacy small group instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, picture vocabulary, word recognition, etc by providing literacy centers that are hands-on and appealing. I have requested literacy-related games, alphabet stamps for word-building activities, and materials to create literature-based centers. By supporting the project you will be supporting English Language Learners directly by providing them with fun, hands-on learning. Please help them continue their love of learning.
