Walking into a classroom a few months into the school year often means gathering the needed resources and materials - often no longer found in the classroom. Our students could benefit from some hands-on learning materials to conceptualize the solar system during our science unit on the Universe. Students will be working in small groups, whole groups, or individually throughout the unit. A model of the solar system will help students visualize this often nebulous concept. Once students can "see" the solar system and the models of the Earth, they will have a tangible way of describing further learning about the universe.

About my class
